Biography

Katie Polonsky is the general Administrative Assistant for the Federation of American Scientists.  Prior to coming to FAS, she wrote for the Smokey Mountain News and tutored ESL students while helping them integrate to life in the United States. 

She attended graduate school in Ireland where she earned an MA in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies.  Her undergraduate years were spent at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a degree in Communications Studies-Rhetoric and Spanish.
