Stegman, Melanie Ann
Biography
Melanie Stegman, Ph.D. is Project Manager of Immune Attack. Her work includes the research, development and evaluation of Immune Attack as a tool for teaching Immunology as well as for giving players an appreciation of the topic.
Stegman's interest in biology education drove her to the research lab. She has written stories and developed her own mini games designed to teach enzymology in a vocabulary free manner. At FAS, she will continue to use an innovative approach to education and collaborate with scientists, teachers and technology developers.
She received her AB in political science from the University of Chicago, and her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
